Monday, August 09, 2004 ::: 1 August Air Canada flight to Vancouver. Will talk more about Air Canada later, cuz I can't stop once I start talking about planes and flights. It's seeing the amazing city of Vancouver. Beautiful downtown area. We were staying at a very nice hotel too right at the waterfront. Had only 1 night there, didn't see much, but seen enough to make me wanna visit BC again. 2 August Zip flight from Vancouver to Edmonton. Young(er) flight attendants on vintage 737-200 aircraft. Funny noises before take off didn't help much to make this flight a pleasant one. Edmonton was a land of barren... at least that's what I felt cuz all I saw was green pastures and woods during touchdown. The later exploration of the city proved me wrong - edmonton is still alive, and it's nice that everything is so close together. this biggest mall on earth - West Edmonton Mall - was impressive. surprise of the century: My dad actually went on a roller coaster in WEM with me and begged me for another ride. I said no because I was the one not wanting to go on the 'tumble dry machine' ride again. 5 August AC flight to Toronto. Awful cold lunch on board. Bad bad impression on AC. The new Terminal 1 in Pearson is nice. Greeted by uncles and aunts at the airport - that's the beginning of the real roller coaster ride that can only gain momentum. An overwhelming weekend of cousin's wedding and family gatherings. The day of the wedding was such a special and momentous day. I'm so lucky I could be part of this. Didn't want to say goodbye to cousins whom I probably wouldn't be able to see again within the coming few years... I know I'll miss them so badly. But it's time when it's time. Late night chat with Sara. It's amazing how we can be so far away yet we can be so close when we meet and talk again.
